Danny,

The primary point here is: as simple as listening is, one must be trained to listen! And here is the main reason we don’t listen: we’re already thinking about what we are going to say when the other person is doing the talking!

Think about! Next time you are in a conversation, concentrate on what the person is saying without preparing what you want to say.

This will improve communication GUARANTEED!

Thanks bringing up what seems rather basic & simple in a people type business (sales). In this case most will find LESS is more!!

Hi Danny,

As we say at our office… “Are you listening to me? or Are you just waiting for your turn to talk?”

Very interesting analogy. I know am guilty of not listening closely enough. I guess it is time to make sure that the ears are open and the mouth is shut.

Thanks Danny.

I think it is easier said then done my friend. This was a great reminder for me in all aspects of my life. I tend to focus in on what I’m thinking of and not really focusing on what is being said. I will take this to heart and really try to focus on what is being said to me instead of what I’m waiting to say when they finish.
Thanks Danny
